Limited Warranty

Shuswap Tech Solutions stands behind the quality of our workmanship and replacement parts. This Limited Warranty applies only to the specific repair performed by Shuswap Tech Solutions and is subject to the terms below.

Unless otherwise stated in writing, repairs are covered by a 30-day limited warranty from the date of service.

This warranty applies only to the original customer and the original device repaired. It is non-transferable.

What Is Covered

During the warranty period, Shuswap Tech Solutions will inspect any repair that appears to have failed due to a defect in workmanship or a defective replacement part installed by us.

• If a warranty claim is approved, we may, at our sole discretion:

• Repair the original issue at no additional labour charge;

• Replace the defective replacement part;

• Provide a comparable replacement part; or

• Refund the amount paid for the original repair where repair or replacement is not reasonably possible.

Warranty coverage applies only to the repair originally performed.

What Is Not Covered

This warranty does not cover damage or failures resulting from:

• Accidental drops or impacts after repair

• Bent, twisted, or cracked frames or housings

• Liquid or moisture damage

• Fire, heat, or environmental damage

• Power surges or electrical damage

• Misuse, neglect, abuse, or improper handling

• Unauthorized repair attempts or modifications

• Opening or tampering with the device after our repair

• Normal wear and tear

• Cosmetic damage that does not affect functionality

• Software issues unrelated to the repair performed

• Malware, viruses, or unauthorized software

• Manufacturer defects unrelated to our repair

• Damage caused by accessories, chargers, or cables not supplied by the device manufacturer or otherwise incompatible with the device

Batteries

Replacement batteries are consumable products whose performance naturally decreases over time.

Unless otherwise stated on your invoice, battery replacements are covered only against manufacturing defects during the warranty period and are not warranted against normal capacity loss or reduced battery life resulting from normal use.

Pre-Existing Conditions

Shuswap Tech Solutions cannot guarantee successful repair where a device has pre-existing conditions, including but not limited to:

• Liquid damage

• Previous third-party repairs

• Missing or damaged internal components

• Logic board or motherboard damage

• Physical frame damage

• Corrosion

• Manufacturer defects

• Devices that have been modified or altered

These conditions may limit repair options or prevent a successful repair altogether.

Data Responsibility

Customers are solely responsible for backing up all personal data before submitting a device for service.

Although every reasonable effort is made to preserve customer data, Shuswap Tech Solutions is not responsible for the loss, corruption, or recovery of data, applications, passwords, photos, contacts, or other digital content.

Warranty Claims

If you believe your repair is covered under this warranty, please contact Shuswap Tech Solutions as soon as possible.

We may require:

• Proof of purchase or original invoice

• The original repaired device

• A description of the issue

Warranty work must be performed by Shuswap Tech Solutions. Repairs performed by another business or individual may void this warranty. 

Repair Limitations

Electronic devices can contain hidden defects that are not apparent before repair. 

In some cases, additional faults may become evident only after the original repair has been completed. These issues are not necessarily related to the repair performed and may require additional parts or labour. 

If additional repairs are recommended, customer approval will always be obtained before proceeding. 

Limitation of Liability

If Shuswap Tech Solutions determines that damage was directly caused by our workmanship during an approved repair, our liability shall be limited, at our sole discretion, to:

• Repairing the affected device;

• Replacing the device with a comparable refurbished device of similar model, age, condition, and fair market value; or

• Refunding the amount paid for the original repair.

To receive any replacement device, the original device must be surrendered to Shuswap Tech Solutions.

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Shuswap Tech Solutions shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages, including but not limited to:

• Loss of data

• Loss of business

• Lost profits

• Loss of revenue

• Loss of use

• Loss of software

• Loss of digital content

Our maximum liability shall not exceed the amount paid for the repair service that gave rise to the claim, except where otherwise required by applicable law. 

Customer Acknowledgement

By authorizing repair services, the customer acknowledges that they have read, understood, and accepted this Limited Repair Warranty. 

Shuswap Tech Solutions reserves the right to update this warranty at any time. Any changes apply only to repairs performed after the updated warranty becomes effective.
